This is in Good used condition. Original GM ring and pinion. The ring gear part number is 3830270. The ring gear count is 41. The pinion count is 8.  The spline count on the pinion is 17. The part number is 3830267. 

I took this into the local, reputable drive train shop. He says it looks to be in very good condition.
