Ford manufactures the hood grille insert out of a durable black plastic. On the back side of the Hood Grille Insert, tabs are molded into the plastic making it easy to install on your hood. The plastic tabs press into the square openings on the hood, no tools are required for the installation of this insert. Just like the original hood grille insert the honeycomb design is molded into the plastic, complementing the other honeycomb pieces.
