TonyKart Racing Gokart

Chassis and Engine

The following listing is a used, yet definitely race-able kart with a TonyKart chassis and PRD engine. This kart is based around a single speed transmission, making it ideal for those whom are either new to the sport, or considering a shifter but would like a dedicated power plant for practice. The latter was me, and, having outgrown the kart, believe it is finally time to sell.

The Condition

It is important to note that this kart does not currently start when I turn over the ignition. This is because it has been sitting for some time (yes, not the best practice, I know). It is also effectively out of fluids. It's no secret that these machines require a high level of maintenance, especially while they are running. The chassis of the kart is a little worn from numerous close calls and scrapes (including one painful incident with a hay bale). Despite this, however, it feels very tight, both while in motion and under inspection. After all, one doesn't consider the quality of their branded sticker while fully consumed by the joy of the track. Before it is sold, I will personally inspect every bolt and apply lubricant where it is needed. I hope that the photographs above adequately convoy the condition of the vehicle, but if you (the perspective buyer) feels that you need more information, I will gladly supply it.

The Experience

One thing to note about this kart - from my own experience - is just how fun it is to drive. With its single gear, one can quite literally just "set off" on their very first day of driving. It's a massive rush, and if you are new to karting, will redefine your sense for speed and handling, while still not being as much of a headache as some more powerful machines.

Pickup

I have this listing set as a local pickup, based out of Reno, Nevada. Reno isn't that far away from the Bay Area or central California. If you have special requests in terms of shipping, do not hesitate to contact me. I am flexible with this, and am willing to accommodate a variety of situations. If absolutely necessary, I could deliver the Kart to you, but we'd have to work out the logistics.

If you're new to karting, I'll throw in some motor oil (for the 2-stroke engine) and a few tools.
