This Damper mounts on top of the 'provided'  GPR Handle Bar Clamp !  (For 'under bar' mounting - please see our GPR V4 listings.)

The mounting brackets for this damper are designed to be used with OEM Triple Clamps and Standard 7/8" Handle Bars.  The V1 Dirt mounts on TOP of the handle bars - see photo above.  (For 'Under Bar' design - check out our GPR V4 listings.)

The V1 Damper still retains approximately the same shape as the original, but the internals and adjustments, sensitivity, sweep breaks were all fine tuned over the years.  The end result is a steering damper that is very reliable, durable, re-build-able and best of all...affordable!  The steering damper that has won hundreds of off-road and road racing championships around the world is the same steering damper you can get at your local dealer.

With applications to cover dirt bikes and sport bikes back to the early nineties, this is your best bet of finding a great damper solution.  Many off-road racers - professional & amatures, as well as weekend warriors all rely the consistent damping and durability in this original design and prefer to stick with it. "It works great! Why change it?" is something GPR hears all the time. There has got to be at least 30-40 thousand of these GPR V1's out there, and you can count on them to be there in the future.

 

This is the steering damper that gave us the confidence to offer a no-nonsense return policy and free rebuilds...while you wait.  GPR V1 Stabilizer was the first steering damper to offer the customers a wide selection of consistent anodized colors.  The V1 is available in Black, Blue, Red, Orange, Gold, Green, Purple, and Titanium.
