Crankshaft Positioning Sensor by Omix-Ada®. As its name implies, the Crankshaft Position Sensor detects the position and rotational speed of the crankshaft and sends this information via voltage signal to the engine control computer. The crankshaft position sensor is typically a Hall Effect sensor or a magnetic reluctance sensor, and it's usually mounted adjacent to the harmonic balancer or flywheel.
