Product Description

Throttle Positioning Sensor by Omix-Ada®. The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) detects the position of the throttle blade inside the throttle body and signals this information to the engine control computer, which in turn uses the information to calculate how much fuel to inject and how far to advance the ignition timing. A bad sensor may be indicated by stalling, erratic idle, and an engine that may be hard to start or won't start. If testing proves your Jeep needs a new TPS, get the one that's made for your Jeep from the experts at Omix-Ada.

Features:

  • Performs according to OEM specifications
  • Meets or exceeds OEM quality standards
  • OEM quality at an affordable price
  • Identical to original equipment, for perfect fit and function

The TPS is the sensor that indicates your vehicle input: how much you have your foot on the gas. It conveys the message in the form of a voltage signal sent to the engine control computer. A wiper arm inside the sensor is mechanically connected to the throttle and also in contact with a resistor. As the throttle moves, the wiper arm moves on the resistor, which changes the voltage output, enabling the computer to know the position of the throttle blade. If testing indicates that the sensor is faulty, Omix-Ada has the replacement that will fit and function perfectly. Why pay more at the dealer or risk getting the wrong part at the chain store, when you can get parts made specifically for your Jeep from Omix-Ada.
