As the title says: 02-04 K20A2 ACURA RSX HONDATA REFLASH NO IMMOBILIZER PLUG-N-PLAY SWAP PRB ECU.  This is a 02-04 Acura RSX Type-S Engine computer that has been Hondata Reflashed, and then had a Hybrid Racing Immobilizer Bypass installed into it.  It's a PRB ECU, which can also be K-Pro'ed.  In fact, price to upgrade this Reflashed PRB ECU to K-Pro is $450, and then you can sell the Hybrid Racing Immobilizer Bypass, or save it for another use, which is a $200 value by itself.   This ECU is a great alternative to getting HONDATA K-PRO, great for swaps, and great for any 02-04 Acura RSX Type-S that wants reflash and doesn't want to deal with sending in their ECU to get reflashed, or having to buy this item seperate and then having to get the ECU programmed to their car.  It's an easy Plug-N-Play.  I compare this to getting a PRC Type-R ECU which also doesn't have an immobilizer, although the program/reflash on this gives you even more power, similar to Hondata K-Pro with the basemap K-Pro comes with.  Whether you have a Type-S with a Stock ECU, or if you're doing a swap using a K20A2 or a K20A, this is a great alternative and absolutely necessary. Normally you'd pay $300-350 for the Type-S ECU, $200 for the immobilizer bypass, and $300-$600 for reflash.  On the low end that's $800.  You might be able to find an immobilizer bypass used, for $150, or get the dealership to do the immobilizer programming on an RSX.  So, realistically, a value of $750.

As we all know in order to put a K-series swap in another vehicle the immobilizer either needs to be bypassed, disabled, or the car needs to be taken to the dealer to have the ECU rekeyed to the immobilizer system.  Sure, you can get HONDATA K-PRO, but not everyone has $1000 laying around, especially after the expensive swap.  Well, with this ECU, there is no need for that, as a Hybrid Racing Immobilizer Bypass has been installed, and this has HONDATA REFLASH which is similar to the basemap that Hondata K-Pro comes with.  This change has already been done for you internally.  You can use this on your swap car, or you can use this ECU as the shop ECU, as this ECU works on any K20A2/K20A without different immobilizers getting in the way.

As for those 02-04 RSX Type-S owners looking to get HONDATA REFLASH.  That is exactly what this is.  Not everyone has $600 to get the Reflash, and not everyone wants to have their stock ECU modified to later find it difficult to return to stock.  Well, with simply installing this REFLASH PRB ECU in place of the stock PRB ECU, you'll find gains similar to Hondata K-Pro since this is equivalent to the basemap that comes with Hondata K-Pro.  Feedback from another purchaser: "It's amazing what a change of an ECU will do for the car.  From the PRB to REFLASH, it feels so much nicer, and faster."

Lastly, if you're worried that later you might want K-pro.  Well, this ECU can be K-PRO'ed for $450, which I also sell, and then you can sell the Hybrid Racing Immobilizer bypass.

So, what's the difference between this ECU, and the 02-04 PRB-A0 Type-S ECU?

This IS a PRB-A0 Type-S ECU, only it has been REFLASHED by HONDATA.  Which means, this ECU has advanced ignition timing, better cam angle tuning, and fuel adjustments over the stock PRB ECU, and therefore will give you very good gains.  This ECU can also be used in a swap vehicle, since the immobilizer has been bypassed. Note: PRB-A0 signifies 02-04, while PRB-A1 signifies 05-06 RSX Type-S.  The "PRB" signifies Type-S, the "0" or "1" signifies 02-04 or 05-06, respectively.

So, what's the difference between this ECU, and the JDM Type-R PRC ECU?

This ECU has even more advanced ignition timing, even better cam angle tuning, and fuel adjusments made even over the stock PRC ECU, and therefore will give you even more gains and smoother power deliver.  More Power, More Power, More Power.  Power delivery will be as smooth at Hondata K-Pro as it comes and give you more power, since the base map that comes with Hondata K-Pro is the equivalent to REFLASH. This ECU also has the Immobilizer bypassed.  Yet, this ECU can have the immobilizer programmed and used like it did from the factory.  Hybrid Racing actually calls their product an Immobilizer Delete, although it doesn't actually delete it or remove it in any way, it's actually just bypassed. Therefore, simply remove their product, and you can make use of the immobilizer once again. Once K-Pro'ed, this ECU will give you nitrous function, all boost tables, more outputs, and the full features that Hondata K-Pro has to offer unlike the PRC ECU. There is simply more circuitry on the ECU for K-Pro to make use of. More Power, More Power, More Power.  Simply put, it's better than the PRC, the way you see it in this listing.  If you don't plan on getting professionally tuned, then this is the best option.

Can the immobilizer on this ecu still be programmed?

Yes, it can.  You would simply need to clip the wires on the Hybrid Racing Immobilizer bypass, and add one jumper wire.  I include where the jumper wire is needed.

Can the multiplexor be bypassed also with this ECU?

Yes, it can.  You will need to attach one additional wire, which I have left out when I installed the Hybrid Racing Immobilizer bypass.  Not having the multiplexor bypassed will simply result in an error code on a swap vehicle.  If you prefer to not have that error code, then simply attach the remaining wire, otherwise there is no difference.

Can a Race Header be used with this REFLASH ECU?

This type of Reflash has lower fuel settings to maximimize power on a setup without a Race Header. Therefore, the use of a Race Header would not be possible without returning those fuel settings to stock fuel settings, use of some kind of a Fuel Controller (VAFC for example), OR installing larger injectors (Acura RDX 410cc injectors for example) and then allowing the ECU to learn the part throttle fuel needs.
