Used and in working condition Carter W-1 Carburetor with brand new in the box Daytona Parts rebuild kit ($45 value).  Carburetor was from a 1933 Chevy truck, but also was used as original equipment from 1932-1949 on Auburn, Cadillac, Essex, Federal, Frazer, GMC, IHC, Hudson, Hupmobile, Kaiser, Oldsmobile, Plymouth, Pontiac, Reo, Studebacker, Terraplane and Chevrolet.  This carburetor was working a year ago before it was removed from my 33 Chevy.  No longer need this due to engine swap.   Buyer pays shipping.  No international shipping.  Paypal only for payment.  Shipping weight is about 5 1/2 lbs.

It has seemed for some time that Aston Martin’s wish-list for future engines revolved around Mercedes. They currently use a V12 developed from Ford’s Mondeo V6 and a V8 that’s a development of the 4.2 litre that was in Jaguars (and Range Rovers) until a few years ago, but new engines (and new platforms) are vital if Aston are to remain competitive. Before the recent investment in AML by Investindustrial, there were plans for Aston to use both engines and platforms from Mercedes (the Lagonda SUV was built on the underpinnings of the Mercedes GL) and even the possibility that Aston Martin would design and build the next generation Maybach.

The 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 has been expertly restored by its current owners – who actually didn’t know the car could have inspired Fleming until they began restoring it. Years of research – and the nine-month nut and bolt renovation – followed, producing what auctioneers believe is a car that, if the right people are in the auction crowd, could make the owners very rich indeed.
