I am offering a Continental Cast Aluminum Valve Cover.  This is manufactured to standards beyond the original utilizing magnesium as an alloy and a silicon hot box for a better quality casting.  It is a replica part, suitable for a homebuilt, airboat or experimental aircraft.  I originally manufactured this for an AI that finished and fitted this to a production aircraft in accordance with FAR part 21.9.   It is powder coated in black and the Continental Script is hand polished to stand out against a black back ground.  Better fitting, cooling and sealing then the stamped rocker box covers of today.  I stand behind what I sell.  As with everything I sell, this may be returned for a full refund for any reason.  US Priority Mail, $6.00.

For anyone who has followed MjonesR over the years, we have offered up a variety used vintage aircraft parts and replica parts for the Piper and Aeronca Aircraft.   Until recently, I offered my parts from the US territory of Guam.   I still live on Guam, I still chase parts and manufacture throughout the Philippines, but my little sister has joined me in offering my parts from my home state of Indiana.  You will find her a fine person and a good business woman.  As our mom taught us early in business, "Money back guarantee for all reason".

I have for some time, duplicated the hard to find and expensive parts for vintage Aeronca and Piper Aircraft.  Partly, because Im outraged at the prices for replacement parts, and partly because many of these parts just arent available.

Im always willing to entertain ideas on needed items.  My passion is aviation, but these processes lend themselves to automotive and marine activity as well,  Don't hesitate to drop me a note with your thoughts and or criticism.

New Qoros at Geneva 2014 – looks like a Crossover/SUV

Fri, 27 Dec 2013

New Qoros at Geneva 2014 – looks like a Crossover/SUV Chinese car maker Qoros – hoping to make inroads in to the European market with its Qoros 3 saloon – is heading for the Geneva Motor Show in March with a new model, teased today in a pair of photos. Qoros’s first production model – the Qoros 3 – arrived in production guise at Geneva this year as a convincing – if generic -looking – four-door saloon, which we did think an odd route to go to break in to Europe. But the next Qoros – previewed here in a couple of teaser photos – looks to be a production version of the Qoros Cross Hybrid Concept Qoros showed at Geneva and a much better route to grabbing a slice of Europe’s car sales.

NHTSA probing coolant leak in Porsche 911?

Tue, 30 Apr 2013

In another embarrassing failure to understand what they're supposed to be regulating, the NHTSA has announced that they are investigating a “coolant leak” in Porsche 911s that were built with the GT1 engine block between 2001 and 2007. Maybe when they said coolant, they were talking about the oil that circulates in a 911 to keep the engine cool? Next thing you know, they'll be checking out fuel pumps on the Tesla Model S!
