2013 Maserati Quattroporte night testing (video)

Maserati has released a video of the 2013 Quattroporte out night testing ahead of a Detroit Auto Show public debut. The new Quattroporte is bigger and more powerful than the current model and leaves Maserati room to introduce a smaller version – the new Maserati Ghibli – to take on the sports saloons from BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar. To be honest, the video tells us little we don’t already know about the new Quattroporte (except perhaps that it has frameless glass in the side windows), but it does indicate how keen Maserati are to keep the new Quattroporte’s PR momentum on the move ahead of its debut.

Subaru BRZ STi (2013) range-topping BRZ on the way

Subaru has revealed teasing shots of the new BRZ STi. Almost two years after Subaru previewed the BRZ via the Concept STi (pictured, right), these new shots confirm a production version is on the way – though it’s unclear if it’ll be tuned-up performance version, or merely a fettled and bodykitted refresh. VW announces Mk6 Golf prices

By Ben Pulman Motor Industry 20 October 2008 12:17 VW has released prices for the new Mk6 Golf, but while the new car was rushed into production to cut costs, none of these savings seem to have been passed onto the consumer – the base 1.4 S now starts at £13,150 – £870 more than the Mk5 entry-level Golf. Along with a 79bhp 1.4-litre petrol engine, an entry level S model comes with a decent level of equipment to help offset the price increase. As standard there's ABS, ESP, seven airbags, air-con, heated and electric mirrors, body-coloured bumpers and door handles, plus a CD/radio.
