TRANSMISSION COUNTERSHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVED FROM MY 1980 CB900C CUSTOM
Condition as shown. No abnormal wear. Gears, splines, and bearings are good. Engine was running (but had low compression on cylinders 1 and 4 due to bad valves and rings) and transmission was working and shifting fine before I decided to part the bike out.
Most of the rest of the transmission components (main shaft and gears, shift drum, forks, shift pawl, cam plate, pins, cam plate base plate, collar) off this bike are also available, and I will combine shipping.
From what I’ve seen on line, this primary shaft assembly was used on:
CB900C Custom 1980, 1981, 1982
CB1000C 1983
While many of the gears, sprockets, bearings, etc. also appear to be used on:

Last summer I parted out my 1980 Honda CB900 Custom, which I had owned since 1982. About all that is left are the engine and transmission components, and some miscellaneous parts (foot pegs, wiring harnesses, levers, clamps, brackets, relays, etc.). All of the higher demand parts (gas tank, side covers, exhaust, gages, headlamp, fenders, chrome trim, controls, handlebars, charging system, ignition system, air shocks, brakes, oil pump, starter) have been sold off. However, if there is a specific part you are looking for feel free to ask about it using the “Ask a question” link.
Please don't bid if you want these parts to be new, because they aren’t. But I did take very good care of this bike. The bike was never in an accident. Many of the parts are as good as you’ll be able to find; all of the parts will be good enough to get your bike on the road again. Every part will have something wrong as they are used (and 33 years old). If it's bad, I try to mention it, but I don’t list every scuff, dimple, scratch, pit, or rust spot. .Shipping cost is based on actual package weight, size, and zip code (unless using USPS Flat Rate boxes) and generally only includes a “handling” charge if I have to purchase shipping materials (to cover the cost); mostly I use recycled shipping materials and try to ship the most economical method. Hyundai Suicide ‘Advert’ causes a rumpus
Fri, 26 Apr 2013It’s not easy advertising your wares and finding the right balance between mainstream and innovative to capture attention, as Hyundai has found out to their cost with an ‘advert’ for the hydrogen powered ix35 FCEV which, rather distastefully, depicts a man trying to commit suicide by running a hose from the tailpipe to the cabin before realising he can’t achieve his aim as the FCEV’s only emissions are water. It’s a proper cock-up from Hyundai – usually so sure-footed with their PR – but, despite Hyundai US putting the blame at the door of Hyundai UK, there’s more to this suicide ‘advert’ than meets the eye. It seems the suicide video was put together by Innocean – a European Ad Agency owned by Hyundai’s Chairman Chung Mong-koo and his daughter, and responsible for much of Hyundai’s marketing output – and was a clumsy attempt to gauge reaction to the somewhat macabre take on the benefits of an FCEV.

Not only has Hyundai UK had their abacus out to come up with a price for the new i30 Tourer (it starts at £16,195) they’ve also had their box brownie out and snapped a few photos of a real live UK Hyundai i30 – including the interior. So now we know the new i30 Estate has an interior that looks just like the i30 Hatch and you don’t have to have a brown paint job.
EBay exotic: 1972 Fiat 850 Sport Spider

Our friends at Bring a Trailer spotted this gem on eBay Motors in what appears to be surprisingly good condition, particularly since these little Italian roller skates turned to dust upon contact with any form of moisture. The year and Sport moniker indicate that this is the more powerful, revised 850 delivering 52 hp from its rear-mounted 903-cc I4.
