Peugeot 408 GT teased ahead of Beijing 2014 debut

Peugeot will show a new concept car at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show this April, hinting at a small four-door coupe that could rival the Mercedes-Benz CLA. The prototype will most likely be based on the French firm’s current 308 hatchback – underpinned by PSA Peugeot Citroen’s latest EMP2 platform – and will continue to evolve the brand’s new design direction. LTU students design SRG Global-branded vehicle

Lawrence Technological University's (LTU) Daniel Kangas has received a Coach Builder Design Award after winning a semester-long design competition. The contest – sponsored by chrome-plated plastic parts manufacturer SRG Global – challenged LTU students to design a SRG Global-branded vehicle that incorporated the company's products, as well as future technologies and trends. Kangas' design will be developed into SRG Global's virtual car to be used on the company's website and mobile apps to showcase its products and finishes.

Monterey auction kicks off with woodies sale

The Sports and Classics of Monterey auction is in full swing, and a collection of classic woodies netted $7 million Thursday. The Nick Alexander Woodie Collection featured 51 pristine pre- and postwar Ford and Mercury wood-bodied station wagons. The event was staged by RM Auctions in advance of the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
