Here we have a 444 Bellhousing. The actual casting numbers are: 3872444. This one is large enough to handle the Chevy large 168 tooth 14 inch flywheel and 12 inch clutch. It fits all the older small and big block Chevy engines from 283-454, and has the 4 and 5/8 inch or 4 and 11/16 inch center hole (whichever one you call it). This bell has been cleaned and blasted to clear it of all dirt and debris. It has also been checked and verified true all over for proper mounting to the engine, and for proper mounting of the tranny to it, plus clearance for the clutch and flywheel, plenty of room (16 inches from top to bottom inside clearance).  All the bolt holes are in great condition. The Clutch pivot ball has been removed, cleaned and threads checked, they are good to go. The shipping rate is a flat rate of $25.00 in the lower 48 U.S. states only. In addition, RURAL ROUTE type addresses, where a surcharge is tacked on, will have an additional charge applied to the invoice. Package will be sent to you via UPS Ground with a tracking number. VW and Chinese ‘in talks to buy Vauxhall/Opel’ from GM

Thu, 09 Jun 2011

GM is considering selling its loss-making European operations, it emerged tonight. If it goes ahead and severs ties with GM Europe, the General would cede control of Vauxhall and Opel, the second biggest car brand in the UK.And in another extraordinary twist, CAR has confirmed that top-level talks have been taking place between Volkswagen and the German government, which is keen to avoid Opel falling into foreign hands. Chinese car makers are circling but Chancellor Angela Merkel, who has close connections to Volkswagen chief Martin Winterkorn, would prefer VW to step up to the plate as a potential buyer than a Chinese brand.

Fiat 500X SUV & new baby Jeep confirmed

Fri, 21 Dec 2012

Fiat has confirmed it is extending the 500 range with the Fiat 500X SUV and will build a new small Jeep crossover on the same platform. We’ve just had the first extension of the 500 range arrive in the UK in the guise of the Fiat 500L (complete with 500L ‘Motherhood’ rap), but the 500L range isn’t going to end there. Following on from a sneak peek at a probable future Fiat 500X SUV back in July, Fiat has now confirmed it is going to put the rufty-tufty version of the 500 in to production and will build it alongside a new baby Jeep crossover – based on the same underpinnings – at its Melfi factory in Italy.

IT’S EASY to let your head rule your heart when buying a used car, but a leading industry expert is warning buyers not to part with their cash if the vehicle is missing its logbook. Used vehicle data specialists HPI says it has seen a rising number of customers fall prey to sellers passing on vehicles without a logbook, otherwise known as the V5C, leaving them vulnerable to a number of scams. Commenting on the issue, Phil Peace, Operations Director for HPI, said: “We’ve seen a number of buyers going ahead with a vehicle purchase without having seen the logbook for the vehicle.
