FERREA COMPETITION PLUS HOLLOW STEM VALVES One important factor to take into consideration to increase the engine’s rpm’s, is the valve train weight. Of course, being the valve a main component, the design has to be perfected to accomplish the weight reduction to allow higher RPM’s. Ferrea’s latest contribution to this area is the introduction of its Lightweight Hollow Stem Valve. Ferrea developed a manufacturing process that gun drill and micro polish the stem to achieve a valve reduction in weight of 20 percent compared to a conventional stainless steel solid stem valve. The valves also feature friction welded tips, radial grooves, avionics chrome plated stems, seat hardness up to 42 HRc and super flo to improve flow design. Most of our performance valve sizes are not stock-OE sizes and are usually larger than stock-OE sized valves. Mon, 02 Apr 2012BMW will chop the top off the i8 hybrid at the 2012 Beijing auto show - and it's unveiled photos of its new i8 Spyder convertible supercar a few weeks ahead of the expo in China. It's a sign that Munich will offer a convertible i8 alongside the tin-top coupe when BMW i8 sales kick off in 2014. This one sports a two-section folding roof, converting the i8 from coupe to roadster in a few seconds.

The team finished second and third in the electric class at the 2013 event, and will use the same drivers – former motorcycle class winner, Greg Tracy, and Dakar-rally winner Hiroshi Masuoka – for the 12.42-mile climb to the 14,110ft summit. The bewinged Mitsubishi i-MiEV Evolution III is 4.7m long and 1.9m wide, with an electric motor at each corner to send a total of 600bhp through all four wheels.
