Solar Roadways After glow-in-the-dark road markings proved to be a bit of a flop when the paint washed away in the rain, experts are now experimenting with solar-powered motorways. A small, family-owned American company based in Idaho called Solar Roadways has created a short section of road that uses the sun’s energy to power nearby buildings, as well as electric cars. If the solar-powered roads are adopted worldwide, it could put an end to the range-anxiety commonly associated with electric vehicles.

Infiniti will offer the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel version for 2013 delivery in a limited production run of 200 units. First released as a concept at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show in September, the Sebastian Vettel FX comes equipped with carbon-fiber aero accessories, a lowered suspension and a 5.0-liter V8 that churns out 414 hp. Pricing has not been announced, but rest assured that it will be geared toward those with no-holds-barred spending habits.

It’s almost certain the production ready MINI Paceman will debut at Paris in September now MINI has released a set of lightly camouflaged photos. The MINI Paceman – which started as the Paceman, became the Countryman Coupe and is now back to being the Paceman – looks set to debut at the Paris Motor Show in September. As is MINI’s wont, they’re starting to ramp up a bit of PR for the 2-door Countryman Coupe by letting loose a few photos and letting a handful of ‘safe’ car journalist loose on a quick test.
