Lingenfelter Retrokit turns today's Camaro into classic RS
Fri, 26 Oct 2012Ken Lingenfelter knows retro. When the fifth-generation Chevy Camaro came out in 2009, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering quickly designed and built a retro Trans-Am kit to transform the Camaro into a modern-day TA. Now, he's taking the WABAC machine even further to create Retrokits that make the new ponycar look like a 1969 Camaro RS.
Winter checks boost Seat owners' festive cheer
Tue, 05 Nov 2013SEAT DRIVERS can rest assured their cars are ready for winter this year with a cool deal that’s just been announced. Owners can take advantage of a 28-point Winter Safety Check heck at their local Seat dealer, with technicians checking tyres, brakes, all fluid levels and more, with top-ups if needed. The fixed-price £29 offer includes inspections of the cooling system, handbrake linkages, steering and electrics.
Could the McLaren P13 get a Honda engine?
Wed, 22 May 2013The McLaren P13 is due to arrive in 2015 and we’re expecting it to get a de-tuned version of the 3.8 litre V8 already found in the 12C (pictured above) and P1, and be priced to take on the almost empty sector (in terms of price) the Porsche 911 Turbo occupies - somewhere around £125k. It’s a sensible plan to fill a potentially lucrative sector of the supercar market with a mid-engined, rear wheel drive ‘baby’ supercar with performance of around 3.8 seconds to 60mph and stunning handling. It should give the 911 Turbo a run for its money.
