This is the caliper O ring (Bridge Seal, Channel Seal, Cross Feed Seal) for a AP Lockheed brake caliper. We do not recommend splitting the caliper halves but if you have this seal should be replaced. Cross Reference 3596, 180-285.

Faulty airbags cause recall of 3.4 million cars
Thu, 11 Apr 2013Toyota, Honda and Nissan are recalling more than 3 million vehicles made between November 2000 and March 2004 for faulty airbags from parts supplier Takata, Automotive News reported on Thursday. So far, 1.73 million Toyotas, 1.14 million Hondas, and 480,000 Nissans are involved in the recall. But the report from Automotive News suggests Takata also supplied other manufacturers with the same airbags.
VW to go totally turbo

VW's executive vice president, Mark Trahan, spoke with The Detroit News, saying they will replace the company's remaining three naturally aspirated engines, a five-cylinder 2.5-liter and two six-cylinders with turbo mills.
