An XJ40 / XJ6 In very good condition. 67.5K miles. Original paint.

Some dings and minor scratches--normal stuff; one dent under the rear bumper on the small lower panel, noticeable when looking at the rear from a distance: Estimates to fix whole body to 'like new', including dent, dings, and scratches, range $1-2K.

1994 is the first XJ model year built with input from Ford Lincoln Motor Co., the last XJ built with design input from Jaguar's co-founder Sir Williams Lyons; the first Jaguar with airbags; the only XJ with no glovebox(!); the last and most reliable XJ40 model year ever built, according to Car and Driver.

Appears in a forthcoming Happy Madison feature film (2017).

I love driving this car.  Drives great . . .
The interior, like the exterior, is near perfect, looks great . . .
  • The plastic faux wood face of the ashtray (center console), and that of the upper sunroof/reading light console, are cracked and broken - I keep the ashtray lid in the open position, and try to not to look at the upper console.  Good luck with this fix, should you tackle it . . .
  • The interior roof lining should be replaced, as it sags (I've temporarily 'installed' staples to keep it from sagging; fix = <$600).
  • Tires are Pirelli, on their way out, maybe 3-5K miles left.
  • 'Refrigeration' system works on high setting only, needs attention.
  • There's a slight rattling noise coming from the left front quarter on bumps, can't locate source--needs a professional evaluation, I think non-vital hardware is loose and needs to be tightened or secured.
With just a bit of love this car is showpiece ready, even without a paint job--which is original.  All hoses and belts replaced this year.  Smog good in CA through early 2017.

OEM chrome wheels with black 21-spoke inlays are rare, and basically in 'like-new' condition. There's a CD changer in the trunk, which is huge (the trunk)--twice the capacity of 1995+ XJ models., until 2006.

I've loved this car a lot . . . a rare iconic Jaguar Jade Green Metallic; a silvery blue green hazel--even prettier in person. Those stylish square headlamps, like crystals . . .

Nissan Extrem concept bows at Sao Paulo auto show

Mon, 22 Oct 2012

Wild concepts during auto shows are nothing new, especially from Nissan. The automaker is adding to its reputation with the Extrem small crossover, which debuted recently at the Sao Paulo auto show. The Extrem is wild, but we could easily see it going into production, though Nissan's given no indication of such.

2014 MINI leaks ahead of reveal MINI has been busy teasing the new MINI for a while, with an official reveal planned for later today to coincide with the 107th birthday of the Mini’s creator – Sir Alec Issigonis. But the best laid plans of MINI have garnered a bit of a wrinkle with the first official photos (above) of the new MINI leaking out online ahead of the official reveal. They don’t really tell us much we don’t already know – especially with the MINI Vision Concept previewing the new MINI – but do confirm the new MINI still looks as we would expect, just bigger and better equipped and based on a new BMW platform.
