50 Years of Bond Cars at the National Motor Museum
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Release the oil slick, raise the bulletproof rear screen and push the red ejector seat button in anticipation of what promises to be one of the must-see automotive attractions of 2012: Bond in Motion. Tell me more, Moneypenny 2012 will mark the 50th anniversary of Sean Connery's first utterance of the icnonic 'the name's Bond, James Bond' line, and to celebrate this celluloid milestone the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is hosting Bond in Motion, an exciting exhibition of the fictional spy's 50 most recognisable vehicles. The year-long display of 007's cars, motorbikes, boats and other unlikely forms of transportation promises to be the largest of its kind anywhere in the world.
BMW ActiveHybrid 7 at 2009 Frankfurt motor show
Thu, 13 Aug 2009By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 13 August 2009 14:30 This is BMW’s new ActiveHybrid 7, a hybrid limo which will compete with the Mercedes S400 Hybrid and Lexus LS600h as the car of choice for the rich but eco-conscious businessman. Not quite. Both car use the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, but the hybrid X6 is more performance biased.
Mini John Cooper Works concept (2014) first official pictures
Tue, 17 Dec 2013By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 17 December 2013 16:00 This is the Mini John Cooper Works concept, which previews the look of the hottest version of the new third-gen Mini. The new JCW takes the larger, third-gen Mini three-door, which was revealed at Oxford last month, and gives it a triple nostrilled front bumper, red bodywork accents and myriad (doubtless superficial) vents for a racier look than its predecessor. New intakes also usurp the previous car’s front foglights, and 18in five-spoke alloys ape the look of the outgoing Mini GP flagship.
