COMP CAMS 4835-8 ADJUSTABLE GUIDE PLATES -SBC/SBF 5/16 FLAT TYPECOMP CAMS 4835-8 ADJUSTABLE GUIDE PLATES -SBC/SBF 5/16 Guide Plates, FS/CS Flat Adjustable, 5/16" Pushrod Diameter Cylinder head modification can net some serious performance gains. However, once the valve centerlines have been moved, you sometimes have to bend or cut stock guide plates in order to compensate. To solve this common dilemma with aftermarket heads, COMP Cams recently developed an all-new line of Two-Piece Adjustable Guide Plates for high performance Small Block Chevy V8 and 90 V6, along with Small Block Ford V8, engine applications. Created from precision die-stamped and heat-treated steel material for a closer setting and improved durability, these fully adjustable guide plates feature an interlocking design that enables a reliable and true adjustment in the one axis needed for most valves. This prevents issues associated with prying or cutting the guide plate, which often make it difficult to line up prior to welding. In addition, these guide plates can easily be adjusted inward or outward for maximum convenience. And for more stability, they can be finish-welded once the final adjustments are made. These performance guide plates work with all RHS cylinder heads, as well as other popular cylinder head brands in the performance aftermarket, both stock and those that feature relocated intake ports.
