Relisted due to non paying bidder.if your feedback is 10 or less your bid will be removed unless you contact me first.This is a complete running om617 5 cylinder turbo diesel engine out of a 1985 Mercedes 300D just had both fuel filters changed out and fresh fuel ran thru it.this engine has approximately 240000 miles on it around 15,000 miles ago it had a turbo rebuild valve adjustment new glow plugs new water pump and belts the injection pump is still Factory sealed and has never had the cap popped off and adjusted this engine starts right up every time and still runs smooth.one of the better running om617s I've had and I've had a bunch of them.I've got to many projects so I'm letting a few go. this auction you are getting the complete engine from the air filter housing all the way down to the oil pan all accessories are included Starter Alternator belts hoses the turbo and the flywheel,motor mounts are included also.transmission is available for extra fee also.I can also provide a video of this engine running go to the size of this I prefer local pickup if you're within a reasonable distance I can deliver it to you for a fee but you need to contact me and we'll touch base on that first please take a look at all the pictures ask any questions you might have if you need more pictures feel free to ask I'll be glad to get those for you you can also call or text me text is preferred due to my working hours at 706-618-6088 thank you for looking at my ad and God bless. Sun, 08 Jan 2012The new high-tech, low weight Mercedes SL roadster receives its official global unveil next week in Detroit but Car Design News got an early peek of the final production car and had a chat with its designers at Mercedes' US advanced design studio in Carlsbad, California back in November. "We want to get back to clean, long-lasting design," director of Mercedes global advanced design and SL project leader, Steffen Kohl told CDN at the exclusive preview of the sixth-generation model. "So the new SL is long, sleek and still full of tension in the feature lines but less wedgy." In a short presentation Kohl felt all SLs became successfully iconic in their times because they followed two key rules – ‘sensuality' and ‘cleanness' – but alluded that the first rule may have been lost in more recent eras.
