I have 1 complete working power top unit for 1958-1962. The important parts of the unit have been restored on the inside. The solenoid valves were taken apart and cleaned the valve seat's cut and new bullet needle's have been replaced. The original motor has been taken apart cleaned. The original hose set has been cleaned. The unit has 3 new cylinder's. All the switch's have been gone threw and connector joints soldered. Some of the metal brackets have been cleaned and other ones have not. The original motor mount has a split in the platform at each end, it has been bead blasted and primed but the splits need welded. The hard to find cover for the switch assembly beside the passenger seat has some rust issues at the bottom but can be repaired, and also the  passenger side seat switch bracket also needs some repair ( see pictures ) This unit has a new Electric Limited wiring harness and the original dash switch has been checked. I have added most of the hardware to install the unit, and a new ground strap and wire to the starter solenoid, and a reproduction circuit breaker. Also included are many sheets of diagrams to show you where ever thing goes plus my personal instruction's on how to set all the switch's. I have run this unit many times on my test bench with all the switch's and the wiring harness all hooked up. The unit runs very nice.  This unit would be nice for a non restored NCRS car or you could detail everything for show.  I have been working on these unit's for over 20 years, I can also restore your power top unit. A flat fee of $65.00 shipping to the lower 48 sates. Any question contact me at  260-749-8201.  thanks john

70% of premium brand cars stolen are taken with the car’s own keys

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

High-end SUVs – like the new Range Rover (pictured) are a prime target for car key thieves There was once a time when all it took to steal a car was a wire coathanger and the ability to hotwire the ignition. But as car makers have got better at securing the second most expensive asset most of us will ever own, car thieves have had to look for a different approach, and that approach is increasingly to relieve owners of the keys to their pride and joy. Cobra – the vehicle tracking firm – are reporting that a massive 70 per cent of all premium brand cars stolen in 2014 – with an average value of £40k, up £6k on 2012 – are being parted from their owners using that owners keys.
