Nissan EV (2010) By Alex Michaelides First Official Pictures 28 July 2009 11:07 Nissan has let slip this teaser shot of its new, unnamed electric vehicle. The image reveals little about the EV, but we expect the five-seat battery-powered car to have Ford Focus-like dimensions, thanks to its compact motor. We can also decipher that the badge hides a charging socket at the front – a neat solution that’ll make the EV easy to charge in right- and left-hand drive markets. The introduction of Nissan’s EV comes just a week after the Japanese company unveiled plans to produce battery packs at its Sunderland plant.Thu, 02 Jul 2009 00:00:00 -0700
The new Fiat 500C Convertible launches in UK showrooms today And if you want a fun, economical and stylish little convertible to zip round the city in this summer, it would be hard to find a better option than the 500C. True, its ‘cutesey’ style is not to everyone’s taste, but it’s hard to argue against the car when it costs just £11k (for the Pop version) and is quite likely to hang on to a good chunk of its value for the next year or two. But retro-looking as it may be, the 500C is very much a modern car.Wed, 28 Oct 2009 00:00:00 -0700
The Focus RS by Loder1899 We finally got round to doing a review of the Focus RS last week and came away deeply impressed. The thought of 300bhp through the front wheels seemed like a barking mad idea, but Ford had managed to pull off the seemingly impossible with the adoption of their clever RevoKnuckle system, which tames the torque steer if not completely eradicating it. We did note that it seemed as if the system was good enough to take even more horses than the RS produces, which you can now find out for yourself if you opt for the tuned Focus RS revealed by German tuner Loder1899 (catchy little name).
