For sale is one used birdcage frame. Correct for Corvettes Late 1979-1980 All, 1981-1982 excluding LH Power Seat The birdcage was removed from a later 1979 that features the three dash tabs. It includes the floor pan, which is still firmly spot-welded to the channels. The floor pan is set up for the automatic transmission shifter. The front of the floor pan does include piece of the lower portion of the firewall. The assembly as a whole shows some surface rust and pitting, but the frame is completely solid. The windshield frame shows some metal flaking, but there are no rust holes. The channels show a bent corner towards the front on both LH & RH channels (see pics). They also show some heavy pitting, though there are no rust holes. There is also some bonding material throughout where the fiberglass was bonded to the frame. The body mount #1's are in good condition, the #2 show some slight rounding out. The rear reinforcement that sits behind the seats show some bends, though it's not completely bent out of shape. The floor pan shows spots of oxidation and surface rust, but it is completely solid and the bottom looks clean.

IndyCar team owner and dealer magnate Roger Penske will not buy Saturn and the brand will be shuttered, General Motors said Wednesday. GM said Penske called off discussions after failing to line up more future products. Penske had been in talks with Renault for vehicles.

Nissan’s Townpod will be the company’s third electric vehicle (a battery-powered version of the NV200 commercial vehicle will slot in after the Leaf) and is slated for a late 2012 arrival in the UK. Looking remarkably like a character from Pixar’s Cars film, the Townpod takes the lithium-ion battery-powered drivetrain of the Leaf and cloaks it in urban friendly sheetmetal. The long wheelbase and zero overhangs results in a huge cabin, accessed by some trick doors – rear-hinged rear doors and a vertically split rear door.
