For sale is one used parking brake console cover set. P/N 379978 Cover, 379978 Housing For Corvettes 1977-1982 - This set includes the metal housing inner structure for the rear console parking brake cover that sits between the seats, as well as the rubber interior-colored moulding.
- They were removed from a 1979 Corvette with Black interior.
- The vinyl shows good grain texture throughout, with little to no signs of smoothing.
- There is a very small area at the front where the vinyl was cut but is still attached (see pictures).
- There is a pen tip-sized indentation in the vinyl on the LH side (see pictures).
- At the rear of the cover, the pattern of the support grid can be seen in the vinyl and it is a bit wavy to the touch.
- The metal inner structure shows some oxidation, but there is no surface rust or weak metal.
- The mount tabs and holes are in good condition and do not appear to be wobbled.
- Includes 2 screws for mounting, there is no other hardware included.
- Remember, you can paint/dye this piece to match the interior of your Corvette!

Atlanta's High Museum of Art is gearing up for the opening of a new exhibition featuring some of the world's most influential concept cars. Dream Cars: Innovative Design, Visionary Ideas runs from 21 May to 7 September and includes 17 concept cars – and associated drawings and models – from the 1930s to the 21st Century. The aim of the exhibition is to demonstrate how these vehicles shifted the notion of The Car from that of a purely functional device to an embodiment of future possibilities.
