For sale is one used relay timer for the seat belt warning buzzer. P/N 1726241 Correct for Corvettes 1975-1976 The timer allows the seat belt buzzer to go off for approximately 6 seconds before it shuts off. It was bench tested and was found to be in good working order as of 07/11/2016. *We tested this buzzer and found that it does provide approximately (+/-) six seconds delay as of 07-12-2016. It appears it is in good working condition, however we cannot confirm its functionality in a vehicle The casing does show oxidation and fading (see pictures). This timer is NOT reproduced. *NOTE: Despite this, we make no guarantees when it comes to how much life is left on used electric items. If you would like this part re-tested prior to being shipped to you, please send us a message or give us a call.

One-off Ferrari 458 pays tribute to Niki Lauda
Younger readers might not see the connection between Ferrari and Niki Lauda; after all, Niki Lauda is Chairman of the Mercedes F1 team, not Ferrari. But back in the 1970s, Niki Lauda was the Prince of the Ferrari F1 team, notching up driver titles in 1975 and 1977 in a Ferrari (and suffering horrific burns at the Nurburgring in 1975). Although Lauda left Ferrari in 1977 on less than good terms, the Ron Howard tribute film to the ’70s battle between Lauda and James Hunt – Rush – has obviously had an impact on one of Ferrari’s wealthier clients, who has commissioned Ferrari’s Tailor Made Programme to create a Ferrari 458 dedicated to Niki Lauda.

Last week in Park City, Utah, a group of us were discussing the chutzpah that some manufacturers have in charging hundreds of dollars for outboard mirrors that dip downward when the vehicle's placed in reverse. The consensus was, “Since the electric motors in the mirrors are already there, and the computers know the car's set to back up, it's only a line of code. A very expensive line of code.”
The European Union seems to be thinking along the same lines.
