Covercraft Noah® Barrier Cover In Grey For All Porsche Models And Years, Outdoor on 2040-parts.com
Pasadena, California, United States
NOAH® barrier fabric actually stops water, yet it “breathes” to allow any trapped moisture, seam seepage or condensation to easily evaporate. The unique construction process (patent pending) results in a cover with maximum all-weather protection...highly water resistant, dust resistant, UV resistant and breathable to help make sure moisture and/or heat don’t stay under the cover. Made in the U.S. by Kimberly-Clark, the fabric weighs only 4.75 oz./sq. yd., so it’s easy to handle and fold. High-tech, bonded 4-layer composite uses bi-component side-by-side technology for twin spunbond outer layers, a film barrier, and a soft bi-component spunbond inner layer. The high performance non-woven fabric with the film barrier edge for maximum dirt/dust and moisture resistance...and you still get the ding protection of multi-layer construction. - High Performance Non-Woven Fabric - Dual Protective Outer Layers – Two outer layers of bi-component spunbond, utilizing side-by-side spinning technology. Each individual fiber is a balance of polypropylene and polyethylene that delivers both strength and softness. The light gray color does not attract heat and the dual layers are treated with UV inhibitors for extended outdoor use. - Microporous Film Middle Layer – The barrier layer is breathable film, a proprietary stretch-film technology developed exclusively for Kimberly-Clark. The film is stretched and then subjected to a chemical process that creates microscopic holes smaller than droplets of water or dust, yet large enough to allow moisture vapor and heat to escape. This helps reduce the bulk of the nonwoven fabric, while providing an almost solid barrier against the elements. - Soft, Paint-Protecting Inner Layer – A single, heavier layer of bi-component spunbond, utilizing side-by-side spinning technology. This heavier, single layer (as compared to a single outer layer) provides the “soft touch” necessary for today’s water-based paint finishes. - 4 Year Warranty - Outdoor or Indoor Use We have covers for all models and years available. Worth a read: Wired's 'Why Getting It Wrong Is the Future of Design'
Thu, 25 Sep 2014Wired has just published a series of short articles entitled 13 Lessons for Design's New Golden Age. While there are some interesting examples cited in the piece, the concluding article, ‘Why Getting It Wrong Is the Future of Design' by the former creative director of Wired magazine, Scott Dadich, feels like it has particular resonance for car design. Dadich's Wrong Theory uses disruptive examples from the world of art, plus his own experience of working at Wired, to explain how design goes through phases: establishing a direction, creating a set of rules that define that direction and finally someone who dares to break from that direction.
Geneva Show 2014: BMW goes front-wheel-drive with 2 Series
Tue, 04 Mar 2014HISTORY has been made on the BMW stand at the Geneva Motor Show as it has revealed the production version of its first front-wheel-drive car. The 2 Series Active Tourer is a compact MPV, also a new segment for the firm, and under the distinctive exterior it uses the same chassis and clever three-cylinder engine as seen in the new Mini. In doing so it becomes the first production BMW to send drive to the front wheels alone.
Toyota GT 86 gets 320bhp from turbo & S/C upgrade
Thu, 17 May 2012Gazoo GT 86 Sport FR Concept Toyota’s Gazoo Racing has taken the standard Toyota GT 86 and added a turbo and a supercharger to give the GT 86 320bhp. The Toyota GT86 has managed to deliver almost what we expected now it’s finally arrived, although many have been a bit disappointed at its peaky performance and lack of out and out grunt. There’s been much speculation that Toyota (and Subaru with the BRZ) would bite the bullet at some point and bolt on a turbo or supercharger to give the lightweight sports car a proper turn of speed.
