ID Data Tag

The winning bidder gets this custom embossed auto tag.  I can custom make this for you, although it will not likely contain the exact information that the original tags had on them.  However, I'm fairly certain that the size (about 3 1/2" x 1 3/4") matches the original tags.  I do NOT have other sizes.  More detailed photos below.

Important details for you to consider:

  • I can only emboss capital letters (NO lower case, except for "c").
  • Limit your text to a maximum of 5 lines, 20 characters per line.
  • I will try to center your text, but I do not guarantee that it will be 100% centered.  The originals were NOT always centered as well.
  • I have some special characters available (%, 1/2, &, ', -, /, #, ., and the comma).
  • I'm not going to try to emboss any lines near the edge of the tag.  It's just too difficult to make sure it all lines up properly in those cases.

I am a US Army veteran, and I make these BY HAND on a vintage/original Addressograph machine.  This is the same company that made the blanks that were used by the dealers to make the tags.  This machine was also used to make dog tags for the US military for decades.

This is in EXCELLENT condition.  Tag is old stock, but the embossing is new/custom.
