Shoppers hit the mall, test-drive a Fiat
Tue, 22 Mar 2011The showroom for Indiana's first Fiat dealership sits next to a Johnny Rockets restaurant and across from the children's play area in the Greenwood Park Mall in Reenwood, Ind. O'Brien Fiat's indoor Fiat Studio surprised passer-by Kyle Roberts of Franklin, Ind.: "I haven't really seen a car dealership in a mall before," says Roberts, who went into the store with his wife, Mandy, to look at the four Fiat 500s on display. Would Roberts consider buying one of the cars?
Tunnels get F1 ace Räikkönen buzzing
Tue, 26 Aug 2014FERRARI's Formula One aces Fernando Alonso and Kimi Räikkönen put pleasure before business at the Belgian Grand Prix weekend, taking to a specially-made track in a hyper-exclusive 458 Speciale in a test of driving excitement. The stars travelled down the road from the famous Spa circuit to an event hosted by Shell, Ferrari's fuels and lubricants partner, where a 1.2km circuit built for excitement had been put together, featuring a tunnel full of laser lighting, a simulated winter corner with authentic whirling snow, and an F1-style starting grid. The tunnel flicked Kimi's switch more than any other part of the track, with the telemetry showing a spike in excitement levels as he hit the power through the multi-coloured lasers and smoke.
Lamborghini Jota spied testing
Fri, 15 Jan 2010The Lamborghini Jota caught cold weather testing (via WCF - copyright CarPix) The Murcielago range of Lamborghinis is coming to the end of their shelf life and we have in store the replacement – The Lamborghini Jota - which will be with us in the next year or so. So it’s not a big surprise that Lamborghini have been out testing the new Jota in the Arctic Circle. As we can see from the spy shots, the Jota is going to be similar in size to the Murcielago (which is far too wide for comfort around town) but thanks to a new aluminium space frame will be an awful lot lighter than the Murcielago.
