Dart Platinum Series heads for LT1/LT4 small-blocks were developed with Dart's exclusive wet flow technology and computer-aided design and manufacturing. Their advanced features include five-angle intake seats and back-cut valves that provide shear points for the fuel to go into suspension as enters the combustion chamber. The spark plugs are located as close to the top and center of the combustion chambers as possible, shortening the distance that the flame front must travel and producing a more uniform pressure rise in the cylinder.

This head is not for every engine combination so if you're unsure whether this is the right Dart head for you, we always encourage you to contact us directly.

The Toyota FT-86 Concept will preview at Tokyo The FT-86 (hachi roku is Japanese for 86) is a small (13′ 8″ long) rear-wheel drive sports coupe which is going to turn up not just as a Toyota but also as a Subaru. It uses the 2.0 Boxer engine found in the Impreza, but by the time it finds its way to market in 2011 – as both a Toyota and a Subaru – it’s likely to get the next generation Boxer lump. The FT-86 is Toyota’s way of launching itself back in to the sports market – a market it once did well in with cars like the MR2 – and gain some credibility, and custom, from younger drivers.

Mini is back in rallying, more than 50 years after it ruled the roost at Monte Carlo and beyond, giving a huge shot in the arm to the World Rally Championship. In typically audacious style BMW has announced it will campaign the Countryman SUV rather than the standard Mini, starting with selected WRC rounds in 2011 followed by the entire 2012 season.It’s also a return to WRC for Banbury-based Prodrive, the outfit behind Subaru’s legendary WRC success, who will develop the car and run the team. Prodrive last campaigned in the 2008 season, and have been developing the Countryman since early 2009.

'Car Crazy' TV host Meguiar in serious condition

A dark cloud hangs over the family of automotive enthusiasts who had enjoyed a sunny week of classic-car events on the Monterey Peninsula. AutoWeek has learned that Barry Meguiar, the self-described "car crazy" goodwill ambassador of the automotive hobby world and creator/host of the popular television show of the same, is in serious condition in the intensive care unit of Monterey Community Hospital. Details of his ailment were not released by the hospital.
