This is a factory repaired Dart Big M Sportsman block for sale. The deck height is 9.800 with a bore of 4.600 and ductile caps that are good up to a 1000HP. This block had a spot of porosity on the deck that was approximately a 7mm circle, the porosity was ground out and welded, afterwards the block was decked within a 10th of standard. The repair is 95% invisible, only noticed by a slightly shiny spot on the deck. If this block was not a blem it would sell for $2300.00 plus shipping, at the price in the buy it now it will not last very long. I will try to get a photo of the actual repair on here.

For those of you who do not know what casting porosity is, I will explain. When castings are poured, sometimes there is a little air in the pour, an area where the molten iron did not make full contact with the mold. Sometimes the casting is junk and has to be melted back down and other times the defect is small and repairable (as in this case).

Shipping:

This block can be picked up locally or shipped ground LTL Truck. It is very expensive to ship to a residence or a residential area so we recommend you have this block shipped to either a commercial address that has a loading dock and or forklift truck on premises. If the truck goes into a residential area that will charge you an additonal $100 and if they have to use their lift gate, they will charge you an additional $100. If you do not have a commercial address to ship this to than we can do a terminal pick up as well.

Yesterday we had the first look at the production version of the Toyota FT-86 Concept and learnt it will in fact be the GT 86, but only in Europe. In Japan it will be just the Toyota 86 and in North America it loses its 86 tag completely to be the Scion F-RS.

The Audi S1 has been revealed (S1 Sportback pictured) Audi has been threatening a quattro driven A 1 as a full production model ever since the limited edition A1 Quattro arrived two years ago with 252bhp and a very big price tag. An now we get it. The new Audi S1 has been revealed ahead of a debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month, and it gets quattro 4WD just like the A1 Quattro, even if it has to make do with less power – the S1 delivers 228bhp and 237lb/ft of torque from its 2.0 litre turbo – that’s less bhp but more torque than the A1 quattro managed.
