You are bidding on a Datsun 1200 or A12 engine new in the crate labeled from Japan to San Franciso.  Crate is also labeled RBE-A12.  I assume RBE stands for rebuilt engine.  Engine is new remanufactured in Japan & never installed.  Judging from the age of crate I would assume it was remanufactured in the 1970s.  The engine is stamped A12 with vin # 049318. Exhaust header included.  Engine turns by hand.  This engine will fit 71-73 Datsun Sunny B110 & B120 Sunny Truck, 1971-1973 Cherry EID (Datsun 120A & Datsun 270X Concept.  Super rare find.  I would prefer not to ship.  I can deleiver to Carlisle, Charlotte, Englishtown or Hershey shows or can be picked up my East Earl, Pa 17519 address.   If you have any questions please call Kurt at 717-490-1604.  THE INTAKE, HEADER & CARBURETORS HAVE BEEN SOLD.  NO CARBS, HEADER OR INTAKE WITH THIS AUCTION.

Are car showrooms a relic of the past or the perfect way, still, to showcase the offerings from a car maker? Volkswagen are taking no chances on the future and have already rolled out their ‘Digital Showrooms’ across the dealer network where staff get iPads and advanced web tools to try and bring the on-line and off-line worlds in to a workable intersection, and offer customers virtual product that wouldn’t otherwise be available on show.

Fabulous Fords go on forever at California show

While the Mustang got its own celebration two days earlier on the other side of the country at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama, on Sunday, the annual Fabulous Fords Forever show in California honored all Blue Oval creations of the last 100 years. From the Model T to the new Mustang, there were hundreds of Ford cars and a few trucks spread out across the parking lot of Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. This was the 24th running of the show, which was started by Ford and a herd of Mustang clubs as a kickoff to the car-show season.

AT&T Labs and Carnegie Mellon develop GPS-enabled haptic steering wheel

AT&T Labs and Carnegie Mellon University have developed a new GPS-enabled steering wheel prototype that incporporates haptic technology. For those who need a quick refresher, haptic technology is a feedback system that uses vibrations to provide alerts, for example vibrating mobile 'phones or your games console controller. Here the tech is used to alert drivers when navigation maneuvers are approaching, with the steering wheel syncing with GPS-enabled computer systems.
