Aston Martin reveals the 2012 V12 Vantage GT3 race car
Wed, 24 Aug 2011Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 It’s been mooted for quite a while, but now it’s confirmed – AM are to replace the DBR9S race car with the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3. Built on Aston Martin’s now rather ancient V/H architecture modular chassis, the Vantage GT3 also features Aston Martin’s one and only engine – the V12 originally built from a pair of Ford Mondeo engines – which in the GT3 version will produce something in the region of 600bhp and 516lb/ft of torque. What the GT3 also gets – as the photo above clearly demonstrates - are new aerodynamics, which makes the GT3 seem much more aggressive than the V12 Vantage on which it’s based.
Car Design Awards China 2013 winners revealed
Thu, 18 Apr 2013Six months of work by students in China prefaced the announcement of the winners of this year's Car Design Awards China, held at a glittering ceremony in Shanghai just prior to the opening of the Shanghai auto show. The judges were highly complimentary about the quality of entries and the rapid progress in design terms being seen in student work in China. Judges comments "Mature development and beautiful presentation, a most professional submission," was the comment about one of the leading entries.

And we also discovered that instead of being the Porsche Roxster – which was always a bit of joke name – Porsche’s trendy crossover would be the Porsche Cajun. And yes, we fully expect the Porsche Chilli and the Porsche Jalapeno to join in at some point in the future.
