USED DesignTech AutoCommand keyless auto-start transmitter key fob, FCC ID: ELGTX7, DOC ID: 14761032268. I purchased this remote used and have no information regarding its history. The remote was tested using a wireless RF remote tester. Signal was detected for the top two buttons. This is in no way a guarantee (or even a claim) that the remote functions properly. It simply means that my wireless RF remote tester detected signal from the remote when those buttons were pressed. No signal was detected for the bottom button. However, the LED indicator light illuminated when each of the buttons was pressed, including the bottom button. The icon on that button displays two vehicles with an arrow indicating movement from one of the vehicles to the other. Logic suggests that that means the bottom button's function is to toggle the remote between two different vehicles. That might be the reason no signal was detected from that button, as a toggle function would not necessarily transmit outward signal. This, however, is a theory. I do not know whether the bottom button is supposed to transmit signal. Therefore, potential buyers be advised and do your research into the functions of each of the buttons before bidding on - or buying - this item. The remote is being sold AS IS. This means that by either bidding on this listing or purchasing it using the Buy It Now function, you certify that you are aware you are buying a USED remote, that the purchase of used goods with unknown histories comes with the risk that they may or may not function properly, that you are prepared to take this risk, that you are aware that no signal was detected from the bottom button despite the LED light illuminating when it was pressed, and that you are fully aware that I offer absolutely no warranties, no returns/exchanges, and no refunds. Furthermore, I deal in many different brands and models of used remotes/fobs. As such, I am not able to provide compatibility or programming information. It is the buyer's responsibility to confirm that this remote is compatible with their product/vehicle and that they have access to the necessary programming instructions prior to bidding on - or buying - the listing. Compatibility confirmation and programming instructions can usually be obtained by contacting the manufacturer or an authorized dealer of your product/vehicle, and/or sometimes by consulting information online by performing a search.

I ship within 1-2 business days after buyer's payment posts (I try my best to stay within 1 business day), at no charge via USPS First Class Mail to the continental U.S. only. For those outside the continental U.S., I participate in eBay's Global Shipping Program. If you live outside the continental U.S. and within one of the regions included in the Global Shipping Program, and you are quoted a shipping price by eBay when you attempt to bid on - or buy - any of the items I have listed, be advised that the quoted shipping price is being charged by eBay to ship from the Global Shipping Program hub to your location. None of that shipping fee goes to me. Please do not contact me in an attempt to negotiate a shipping price quoted by eBay's Global Shipping Program. I have no control over the amount.

BMW are rolling out their ‘BMW Genius’ programme across UK dealers

Tue, 14 May 2013

Even when you’re immersed in the latest car news day in and day out, it’s often quite tough to keep up with the new technologies car makers are offering, so many buyers must struggle to know exactly what their options are. That should be a job for the car salesman, but most car salesmen only worry about explaining how good the deal is and how it’s better than any other deal, so buyers often come away with a car that doesn’t fit their needs as well as it could. But with fewer new car buyers really wrapped up in performance and dynamics and more interested in the tech behind the wheels, BMW has been trying out an idea borrowed from Apple Stores by employing ’BMW Geniuses’ at 10 of their UK dealerships to explain the advantages of much of their technology to customers.
