This is a Genuine Land Rover Used OEM XYZ gear inhibitor selector switch for 1999-2004 TD5 (Diesel) and V8 Pertrol (Gas). It is the GRAY plug end, verify you do not have the black end before purchasing. There was 2 part batches for the XYZ from production depending on region of the assembly plant, part availability, and years. They are not interchangeable without modification which is not advised so please verify. Part number is a revision from 0501211036 to the new part number of 0501209718 (this 2nd number is the actual Bosch registered part#). This was a newer revision and etched by the OEM on the part as such (shown in pictures). Buyer assumes all responsibility for verifying fitment before bid or purchase. Returns are not authorized based on ordering the wrong part. The unit was resealed at the stem with liquid electrical tape and wrapped in friction tape to prevent heat damage and water penetration which is the common cause of failure of these units. They are often located by the drains so this is preventive. No internal alterations have been made and you can see the unit is still sealed with the original grommets. It is a fully working switch and was bought to replace another when we repaired the original through several methods for the customer. This is just an extra part we had on hand as a backup. Warranty is 2 weeks from delivery date. Any tampering with the parts or modification of any kind will result in being denied a refund. You will be required to send back the item to us for verification and testing. Once deemed it is in the same condition as it was sent you will receive a refund for any defect and return shipping up to a cap of 15% of the unit's price. You must send the cheapest method available, return shipping will not be refunded if you overnight or send at a more costly method or use a pricey carrier. International shipping is available through the shipping calculator. Shipping handling is for is set at 10 business days only to resolve any international shipping requirements and communicate any additional fees the USPS may impose on international shipments. However, if you are a USA buyer the shipping time on average is no more than 1 week. Buyer will be responsible for any country specific tax and/or trade tariff or duty should the end shipper demand such. Once the item leaves the USA the shipping times may be greatly extended if it is held up by customs or international events and delays. We cannot control these items and have no way to force authorities to release your package so please realize this when purchasing from outside the United States. In the end your satisfaction matters most, as a tiny family business we want to make sure you understand shopping small means we care more about your individual purchase from us. Study links low-speed collision-avoidance system to fewer accidents
Tue, 19 Jul 2011A study of the Volvo XC60's low accident rate offers evidence that collision avoidance systems can improve vehicle safety. The XC60, which has a low-speed collision avoidance system dubbed City Safety, was involved in 27 percent fewer property damage accidents than other mid-sized luxury SUVs, according to a report released Tuesday by the Highway Loss Data Institute. The XC60 also was involved in 51 percent fewer bodily injury accidents.
