Chrysler to build more Rams, V6 engines
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Chrysler Group will add a third shift next spring at its Warren Truck plant in suburban Detroit and revamp part of its Mack Engine complex in Detroit to make more Pentastar V6 engines. The moves represent about $238 million in further investment in the Detroit area and will add 1,250 jobs, a Chrysler spokeswoman confirmed. A formal announcement is scheduled for Thursday in Detroit.
VW will build small run of XL1 plug-in hybrid

"We want to go into series production with this car starting in 2013," VW chairman Ferdinand Piech told Automotive News Europe on Tuesday at an event in Doha, Qatar, ahead of the 2011 Qatar auto show where VW unveiled an XL1 prototype. Car Finance: ING withdrawal sees Bridford & DSG merge

The resilience of the UK’s luxury car market is, to a great degree, driven by the availability of decent finance deals to secure a sale, and much of that business was underwritten by ING. But ING has withdrawn from the UK car finance market.
