Concept Car of the Week: Chrysler Atlantic (1995)

The Atlantic concept was arguably one of the first retro-remakes, starting a trend soon followed by cars like the Alfa Romeo Nuvola and the Renault Fiftie. The story began at the 1994 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where Chrysler president Bob Lutz and Chrysler design chief Tom Gale served together as judges. Presented on the lawn around the clubhouse were a variety of old and new concept cars, contrasting with the classic cars to be judged.

The Mercedes AMG GT officially revealed It seems to have taken forever for the Mercedes AMG Gt to arrive, and now it has we get not one but two variations- the AMG GT and AMG GT S. Effectively replacing the SLS AMG at the top of Mercedes sporting line-up, the AMG GT isn’t as ‘super’ a Supercar – certainly not in terms of prices – as the old SLS AMG. BMW Vision Gran Turismo

Ok, so it's only a virtual car for the computer game with which it shares its name, but the BMW Vision Gran Turismo is the result of a project undertaken by the BMW design and engineering departments in Munich. Loosely based around the 2 Series, the car is a neat amalgamation of current BMW design themes and the flamboyance of 1970s touring cars. You don't have to look too hard to see the influence of the CSL Batmobile and fire-spitting E21 320i Turbos.
