YEAR AND CAR SPECIFIC. Made to fit. Each pair of front 3-point seat belts will bolt into all existing factory holes in your 1968-73 Charger. The brackets that bolt into the floor are made out of stainless steel and are e-coated black. The belts are sewn according to the vehicle manufacturer's pattern to increase their strength, and come in all of the colors shown in the color grid picture. Our seat belt sets are pull-tested to 3,000 pounds of force weekly to ensure their quality and compliance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). However, our seat belts exceed this 3,000 pound standard by more than 20%. Each set comes with completely assembled driver and passenger side seat belts, two female ends with your choice of buckle style, Grade 8 bolts, and all other necessary installation hardware and instructions. *The bracket in the main picture is for a specific car and year, and is used to represent all Mopar front 3-point seat belts on our site. MTM de-quattros and supercharges the Audi R8
Thu, 08 Apr 2010Audi tuning specialist MTM has revealed its latest go-fast package for the R8 supercar. Having already supercharged the car's 4.2-liter V8, MTM has now converted the AWD sports car to RWD for the new R8 GT3-2 package (the 2 stands for the number of powered wheels). With 560 hp and 428 lb-ft of torque on tap from the supercharged V8, the R8 GT3-2 is capable of hitting 62 mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 197 mph.
VW reveals plug-in diesel hybrid concept, claims 261 mpg
Tue, 25 Jan 2011Volkswagen has used a car show in the Middle East nation of Qatar to unveil a two-seat plug-in hybrid concept car that the automaker says will deliver 261 mpg. The VW XL1 uses a lithium-ion battery pack, an electric motor and a two-cylinder, 0.8-liter diesel engine for the powertrain. We're still digesting the press release, but here are some highlights: -- VW says the XL1 can travel about 22 miles on electricity from the battery pack.
