Need for Speed Ford Mustang sells for $300,000
Tue, 29 Apr 2014The 900hp Ford Mustang GT as seen in the latest Need for Speed movie has sold at an auction in the US for $300,000 – that’s roughly £180,000. Unfortunately, the winning bidder might be disappointed to find out that in real life it doesn’t make anywhere near the 900hp claimed in the film, instead running a stock 420hp. As we reported a few weeks ago, White Stig (the Top Gear test driver) was outed as Ben Collins, and we speculated, as did everyone else, whether this would be the end of White Stig. After all, when Black Stig was outed as Perry McCarthy he was unceremoniously killed-off by drowning when his XJS flew off the end of HMS Invincible.
Mazda Ryuga concept
Fri, 22 Dec 2006Mazda North America has released a sketch of its Mazda Ryuga concept to be shown at the Detroit Auto Show in January. The Mazda Ryuga builds on Mazda's design language 'flow,' most recently seen in the Nagare concept shown at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Ryuga is Japanese for "gracious flow," and makes use of 'rich fabrics, engineered fits and hidden details,' according to Mazda.
