Mon, 23 Jun 2014If you’re able to arrive early enough on Thursday for Goodwood’s Moving Motor Show you might just be able to book yourself a slot to drive up the famous hillclimb course with one of the many manufacturers displaying their cars. Few mere mortals get the opportunity to drive up the hallowed tarmac at Goodwood – it’s more often reserved for F1 aces and motorsport heroes, such as a certain David Coulthard. In this video from Mercedes-Benz, DC takes us on a guided tour up the hillclimb, corner by corner behind the wheel of a suitably glam Merc SLS Black Series.

Fri, 06 Apr 2012Mercedes SL 65 AMG unveiled in New York The new Mercedes SL 65 AMG has been revealed at the New York Auto Show and Mercedes are doing a 45th anniversary special to celebrate. It’s just a couple of weeks since the new Mercedes SL 65 AMG was revealed and now, with the New York Auto Show under way, the range-topping SL has had its first public outing. To celebrate the launch of the 2013 SL 65 AMG and the 45th anniversary of the first SL, Mercedes has announced a special edition SL 65 to soak up a few more pennies from those already willing to pay getting on for £200k for an SL – the Mercedes SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition.
Canadian Grand Prix: Vettel takes pole ahead of Hamilton
Sat, 08 Jun 2013Hamilton’s Mercedes (pictured) is in 2nd place for tomorrow’s Canadian Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton may have managed to make it four front rows in a succession, but it’s Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel who has taken pole position in a rain soaked Montreal for tomorrow’s 2013 F1 Canadian Grand Prix. Early on in qualifying Hamilton and Rosberg dominated in the Mercedes, but the Red Bulls started to show their pace and in Q2 they were at the top of the leaderboard. Felipe Massa managed to crash in Q2 and Button, held up in the pit lane whilst the accident was cleared, couldn’t manage to get across the start-finish line in time to do another lap, crashing out in Q2 and 12th palce on tomorrow’s grid.
