New Volvo Concept XC Coupe for Detroit

Volvo has revealed the first details and images of the Concept XC Coupe, a new show car for the Detroit Motor Show in January 2014. The second of what will be three concepts based on Volvo’s new ‘Scalable Product Architecture’ (SPA), the Concept XC Coupe follows on from the Volvo Concept Coupe that debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Who's Where: Luc Donckerwolke appointed Head of Advanced Design at VW Group

Luc Donckerwolke has been appointed Head of Advanced Design at the Volkswagen Group effective August 1, 2011. In this new function, he will report directly to Walter de'Silva, Volkswagen Group's Head of Design. Donckerwolke's successor as Director of Design at the Seat brand is Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos.

Subaru’s seven-seat Exiga (2008): first pictures

Based on existing Legacy architecture, the Exiga has a long 2750mm wheelbase, and at 4750mm long, 1775mm wide and 1660mm high, it’s roughly the same size as Ford’s S-Max. There’s a choice of two engines – both 2.0-litre petrols and both flat fours.
