In fact, Jaguar recently said that 4WD was the next ambition for their cars – not hybrids – and we won’t see a hybrid from Land Rover until the next wave of Land Rover models start to hit the road in 2013. And even then, any hybrid powerplant is likely to be well after initial launch.

Syd Mead exhibition opens in New York

A selection of the work of Syd Mead – the designer behind some of the most iconic vehicles in films such as Blade Runner and Aliens – has gone on display at the BravinLee Gallery in New York. The exhibition of the works, which span the forty years of his career to date, is sure to excite fans of the visionary designer, who continues to inspire designers young and old. Drink-Driving Among Elderly Rising

NEW figures suggest drinking and driving among elderly motorists is on the rise. Police forces in the UK have reported that as many as 232 over-75s were caught driving over the legal limit last year, including a 93-year-old stopped in Devon. According to insurer Swiftcover.com the number of over-75s offending has increased by 20% since 2010.
