 Drive Shaft for IMCA Modified  2" outside diameter DOM Steel with 8" Forged Extra Clearance Slip Yoke

  • Specify length in 1/2" increments from 27.5" to 35".
  • Measure center to center on the u-joints.
  • Grease-able 1310 U Joints, 3 7/16" wide x 1 1/16" cap size.
  • Extra clearance on slip yoke for the maximum movement of the rear suspension on dirt late model and modified racing.
  • 8" length extra clearance yoke is forged for strength (most competitor's are cast).
  • The 8" slip yoke is a 27 spline and fits Bert, Brinn and Winters Falcon Transmissions.  You can also use on a Poweglide if the output shaft has enough spline (usually requires machining).
  • Steel tubing, 2" outside diameter DOM x .120" wall.
  • Built on new special built drive shaft equipment and the assembly is balanced with the slip yoke.

Chrysler recalls Jeep Liberty for possible suspension problem

Chrysler is recalling more than 200,000 Jeep Liberty SUVs from the 2004-05 model years for a potential problem with the rear lower control arm. In states that use salt to melt ice on the roads, corrosion can cause the arm to fracture, which may lead to a crash. The vehicles in question were built between July 3, 2003, and July 14, 2005.

The winners of the Local Motors XC2V design competition have been announced. Created in partnership with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the brief called for individuals to co-create a vehicle body design for two different missions – Combat Reconnaissance and Combat Delivery & Evacuation – based on Local Motors' tubular steel chassis. The goal was to create a fast, lightweight, highly capable vehicle that would be suitable for various field missions.
