The T4 is built to SFI and FIA specifications. Craq Spun threads of fire resistant Nomex are used throughout the shoes. The heel design incorporates additional abrasion shielding and reinforcement, while engineered around the balance point of your foot in natural driving position. Airflow grooves are molded into the heel to maximize cooling, while the abrasion resistant 3-D Carbone leather provides support, comfort and durability. GM closes UK Advanced Design Studio
Tue, 09 Aug 2011CDN has learnt that General Motors is closing its UK Advanced Design Studio as part of its ongoing restructuring program. Clay Dean, GM's executive director of advanced global design and Cadillac's brand director, arrived at the studio on 4 August to announce the closure to staff. The UK studio, which opened in 1999, was predominantly involved in the creation of Cadillac concept cars and was originally planned to be a short-term confidential operation as the smallest of GM's design studios.

Ford Galaxy MPV spied stateside
Tue, 28 Aug 2012Autoweek reader and frequent spy-shot contributor Spencer Abbott sends these photos of what appears to be a Ford Galaxy MPV -- or minivan, as we typically call the vehicles stateside -- testing in metropolitan Detroit. The Galaxy received a facelift in 2010, and that appears to be what we're seeing in these photos. Your guess is as good as ours as to why the vehicle was out and about near Ford's Dearborn, Mich., headquarters.
