Denmark's Zenvo ST1 supercar lurks at the Geneva Auto Show

Zenvo launched the first ST1 about two and a half years ago and has sold “five, about” since then, though the company's press material lists only two sales. Founded by a Dane and headquartered just outside Copenhagen, the world's only Danish supercarmaker has since been bought by a Russian oligarch. The Zenvo ST1 is designed, engineered and manufactured completely by Zenvo, which even made the engine.

It's not often that a former auto show concept is offered for sale, mostly because of buzzkill stuff like government crash standards, emissions compliance documents and other boring paperwork. But it does happen from time to time, such as when General Motors sold off a chunk of its Heritage Collection -- though most of those cars were sold without titles, just on bills of sale, which prevents them from being registered for road use. This week there is (allegedly) a 2004 Geneva motor show concept for sale -- a running concept car for that matter -- with a steep price to go along with it, as GTSpirit has discovered.

Sportiness is not a word normally associated with the VW Polo. Even in GTI guise the current VW Polo is a rather sober driving experience compared to more exuberant rivals like the Renaulsport Clio or upcoming Ford Fiesta ST. There's nothing wrong with that, but with a WRC campaign on the horizon and a sensible-shoes donor car on its hands, Wolfsburg have created the Polo R Line.
