Geneva Motor Show 2013: Debutants [UPDATED]

The Geneva motor show will be held from from 5-17 March at the Palexpo center. Marking the opening of the European motor show season, the 2013 Geneva show promises a host of world debuts for both production and concept models. Once again, the stage is set for the most exciting European show to set the benchmark for other's to come.

Volkswagen has unveiled the new seventh-generation Golf in Berlin, 36 years after the original model was first released. As expected the Mk7 is a further evolution of the Golf lineage, adding what appears to be an extra layer of precision to its surfacing and graphics. New production techniques helped the design team reduce its weight by 100kg, and at 4,255mm long the new model is 56mm longer than its predecessor, with a 59mm longer wheelbase of 2,637mm and it is also 13mm wider, at 1,799mm, and 28mm lower at 1,452mm.

Koenigsegg Agera S Hundra: Geneva Motor Show

The 100th car of Koenigsegg’s history has been revealed at the Geneva Motor Show – the Koenigsegg Hundra – a one-off Agera S. Now the Koenigsegg Hundra (Hundra means 100th in Swedish) has been unveiled on the floor at Geneva, representing 4000 man hours of effort by Koenigsegg to make their 100th car special. Costing the deep-pocketed Hong Kong customer a hefty $1.6 million (half the price of the Lamborghini Veneno) the Hundra is based on the Agera S – 1016bhp and 811lb/ft of torque, 1400kg, 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds – and sports a naked carbon fibre body with gold leaf highlights.
