EDGE™ bags are not your average saddlebags. Completely reinforced in all critical points, they scream leather, yet function like hardbags. Most other bags only look good on the showroom floor; but the moment they end up on your bike they start sagging under their own weight, even before you put your gear inside. The EDGE™ bags are designed with attention to both function and looks alike, and will hold their shape and attractive finish for unsurpassed longevity. This is extremely important, especially for extra large bags. Furthermore, the ultra strong, quick-release buckles and internal pocket add simple, yet often overlooked, convenience. Combine the bags with EDGE™ Brackets and you have a complete package; a perfect bag with the perfect mounting system.

New Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive goes in to production

Sat, 12 Apr 2014

The first Mercedes B-Class ED (pictured) rolls off the production line in Rastatt With the BMW i3 grabbing headlines – and flying out of showrooms – as BMW’s first electric car, Mercedes need to play catch-up with a convincing EV of their own, and that’s the new B-Class Electric Drive – an EV version of the regular B-Class – which has now gone in to production in Germany. Built alongside regular ICE versions of the B-Class at Mercedes’ Rastatt Plant, the B-Class ED (Electric Drive) looks practically the same as its more conventionally powered siblings – although the front bumper does look a bit different – and has an electric motor good for 177 bhp and 250 lb/ft of torque, can manage a scoot to 62 mph in 7.9 seconds and has a range of up to 124 miles. The range – at least the quoted range – is a chunk better than the BMW i3′s and on a par with the latest Nissan LEAF, thanks to EV technology provided by Tesla, and the wrapping of an EV drivetrain in a conventional series production car could appeal to more buyers than the ‘statement’ design of the BMW i3.

New Mercedes C-Class UK pricing & specs revealed – costs from £26,855

Tue, 04 Feb 2014

The 2014 Mercedes C-Class (pictured) costs from £26,855 The new Mercedes C-Class for 2014 was revealed in December – looking like a proper baby S-Class – and now we get the specifications and prices for the UK market ahead of its arrival in Mercedes showrooms. To start, there will be just two engines available – 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol in the C200 and 2.1 litre four-cylinder diesel in the C220 BlueTec – and a choice of six-speed manual and 7-speed auto boxes and three trim levels – SE, Sport and AMG Line. Mercedes say the new C-Class will be the best equipped in its sector, and all models come with a touchpad to control the Infotainment functions, Climate, Media Interface and Artico upholstery.

McLaren Special Operations (MSO) P1 and 650 S Spider Pebble Beach debut

Tue, 05 Aug 2014

The McLaren P1 MSO (pictured) will debut at Pebble Beach 2014 It may be Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations in the news at the moment, but McLaren’s own Special Operations has been around since 2011, creating extreme examples of McLaren’s cars for deep-pocketed customers. And they’re back with two new MSO specials for this month’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The most impressive of the two MSO cars is, of course, a special edition of the already very special McLaren P1.
