Jaguar Academy of Sport signs up athletes galore
Wed, 21 Jul 2010Jaguar Academy of Sport held the first of many ceremonies in London this week – and signed up 35 young British athletes with cheques and certificates to help develop their sporting talent.The academy was launched in March 2010 and is designed to nurture young British sporting talent by offering a bursary to athletes between the ages of 14-24. This year's challenge saw 16 student entries based around the global Michelin Challenge Design theme of ‘Driven/Undriven: The Duality of Tomorrow's Automobile'. Michelin asked the students to explore innovative concepts of vehicle autonomy in teams of four.
Honda recalls sedans for power-steering issue
Mon, 01 Oct 2012Honda has expanded a recall of the Honda Accord and Acura TL sedans that now affects more than a half-million vehicles for a problem with hoses that connect the power steering. Honda says that prolonged exposure to high temperatures could cause the power-steering hoses to crack. The fluid could leak onto a hot catalytic converter, leading to a fire.
