Land Rover triggers rumours of ‘Landy’ SUV

Jaguar Land Rover has trademarked the name ‘Landy’, sparking more rumours of a smaller urban SUV based on the Evoque. The new model could possibly feature styling similar to the DC100 concept, and will be a rival to the likes of the BMW X1 and upcoming Audi Q1. First photo of the 2011 BMW 6 Series Convertible We got the reveal of the BMW 6-Series Concept at the Paris Motor Show last week (well, the car BMW are calling the 6-Series Concept. If you believe that) and as far as we can work out, BMW has a very small window to make the 6-Series ‘Concept’ in to a production car. Our sources tell us it’s due to go in to production in March 2011 – that’s just five months away.

Jaguar reveals first ‘new’ lightweight E-Type

CLASSIC car fans and speculators alike will be rejoicing as Jaguar has revealed the prototype of its ‘new' lightweight E-Type. Six further examples will be built by Jaguar Heritage and sold as period competition vehicles, using previously unused chassis numbers to give them true authenticity. In 1963 Jaguar started the 'Special GT E-type' programme to build 18 lightweight racers, but only 12 were ever made.
