FACTOR55 Prolink XXL Winch Shackle/D-Ring Mount

MODEL 00210-06 GRAY

The Factor 55 ProLink XXL is the largest and strongest ProLink winch shackle mount in production. The ProLink XXL provides winch owners with a means to replace the conventional winch hook with a safer and stronger screw pin shackle/D-ring. Originally designed for military 24,000 pound winch applications, the ProLink XXL is now available to the general public.

Like all models in the ProLink family, the XXL is engineered and made in the USA from 6000 series billet aluminum and is equipped with a 6Al-4V titanium double shear pin. In this case the shear pin diameter is .750 inches. The base of the XXL is protected by the barbed high durometer EPDM rubber guard. With a working load limit of 24,000 pounds and an ultimate failure of over 63,000 pounds, the Prolink XXL is definitely up to the task. The XXL is compatible with steel cables and synthetic ropes up to ½ inch in diameter. The XXL is also compatible with common ¾ inch shackles as well as larger 7/8 inch shackles.

Tue, 10 May 2011

The cars are lined up, the experts are ready and the campers are headed to Michigan for the second-annual AutoWeek/ZF Fantasy Camp, an event for car nuts to talk, test and write about cars. Only 20 campers will be in Dearborn, Mich., this weekend, but don't worry. You can still get in on the action.

Underground Racing Lamborghini cracks 250 mph--watch the video here

Sat, 24 Apr 2010

Earlier this year, we told you about Underground Racing, a shop in Charlotte, N.C., that makes a business out of upgrading Lamborghinis with twin turbochargers to boost engine output to more than 1,000 hp. Now, a Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera upfitted by Underground Racing cracked the 250-mph mark at the Texas Mile event. Car owner Richard Holt made the 250.1-mph run in late March, but video was posted just this week.

Orphan Car Show highlights long-gone classics

Wed, 13 Oct 2010

Marvelous as it is a setting for car shows, Riverside Park in Ypsilanti, Mich., does present a risk: The park is built in the floodplain of the Huron River. When organizers showed up to stage this year's Orphan Car Show--the nation's largest to feature cars built by companies that no longer do business in America--on June 6, they found the judging stand underwater. An impromptu “show” throughout nearby Depot Town and at the host Miller Motors Hudson/Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum wasn't quite the same thing.
